If you're looking for great, with a capital G, food, go here... Stop reading, make plans and just go. Almost like a hole in the wall, this is my first visit to Uncle Tank's and before I even ordered, I was planning on my next two visits. All the food sounded amazing and I had to hold myself back from ordering 3 appetizers and 4 entrées. The food we did get was amazing, the fries crispy, the fish cooked to perfection, and the drinks were tasty. The staff were on top of it and were helpful. Do yourself a favor, go and enjoy their food.

We stopped here for dinner after googling “dog friendly” restaurants - so glad we did! Not only did they have plenty of outdoor seating, but they provided a water bowl and “dog menu” (all proceeds to the animal shelter) for our furry friend. That alone would be amazing, but the food was incredible. The staff was super friendly and really went above and beyond. Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!

They have a pet-friendly outdoor area and a dog menu. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the whole vibe was warm and welcoming. We had such a great time—definitely coming back!

Tonight was the second time that my husband and I have eaten at Uncle Tank’s. Both times they didn’t disappoint. The appetizers and the entrees were cooked to perfection. We’ve tried, so far, the fried fish grilled cheese which was on the special menu last week, the big bad wolf sandwich and fried pickles. This week we had the bruschetta app, the il caprese sandwich, and the meatball dom. The beer is cold, and the service is excellent. We’re so happy to have found such a great place to sit and enjoy a great meal after a busy week. Looking forward to going back and sampling other dishes on the menu.

Such a fun spot! We just needed a night out after a day of no power after a storm- this place ticks all the boxes. The hostess greeted us warmly and joked that we were “21 minutes early” for our reservation and would have to wait 😆 no problems ordering apps as entrees. Everyone in the place was friendly and the food and drinks were delicious- we had the calamari, pretzels, chicken fingers and fries, pierogies, and the Chicken Pisa was too much food for my usual hollow-leg teenager. Can’t wait to go back and try more. Get the lime Tankarita 🍸

We chose here to get a quick bite of dinner but this place delivered several surprises. First, the Guinness was to the point. They poured it the right way and gave the right level of head. My husband ordered their burger “Witch Doctor,” which had thick cuts of pork rolls and grilled pineapple. The burger was cooked perfectly medium-well. Fries and pickles came with the burger tasted great. I ordered the “O’Brien” sandwich, because of the sign on the wall “It’s Good to be Irish.” It’s basically an “Irish” Reuben: instead of pastrami, they put corned beef slices. I added salad on the side for $2 extra, and it was worthy. The service was quick and friendly. One more surprise as we walked out was the magnetic Rutgers sign they gave for free!!! Our car now is decorated. We didn’t sit outside since it was raining, but they have nice outdoor seating. And, they are dog friendly - they even have a menu for dogs!!!

I had the Margarita pie with extra cheese and mushrooms, my wife had the special which was the shrimp quesadillas & my daughter had her staple chicken fingers and French fries. My little one’s eyes damn near popped out of her head upon taking her first bite of her chicken fingers. Anybody with kids knows that they can be veerrry picky! Anytime my daughter reacts that way it's a win. My wife said that her meal was out of this world and that she couldn't wait to come back to try other items on the menu. My pie was stellar, and I can't believe I ate the whole thing! Of course, my little one wanted to have dessert, so we got the special, warm cinnamon sugared Bavarian pretzel with vanilla ice cream. While we did our best to scarf it down, we were just too full to finish. I forgot to mention the drink list and beer list are solid as well.

Very cool spot for a meal or a beer. We went for lunch and loved it. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The rooms are bright and well decorated. They also have several TVs so you can catch the game, or Alfred Hitchcock while you sit at the bar. The food was outstanding! I had the French Onion soup which was sweet and the Diablito (sandwich) which I would definitely recommend. Not as spicy as the name would suggest but decent heat and bursting with flavor.

I have been here multiple times now. It is one of my favorite places to go. As a party of one, they are always so accommodating and kind. I have to admit I am preferential to both Cooper and Cathy as servers/hostesses. Their gluten-free pizza is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. They are very accommodating and knowledgeable. Not only that but handicap accessible. I don’t know how many more great things I can say. One of my favorite restaurants since moving to this area.

Really solid food and a great atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly. I stopped in and ordered a french onion soup as they said it was the best around. The soup was really done well, but a little too watery, needs to be a little thicker to get that great mouth feel, however, the taste was on point! I also ordered a sandwich, it was the vegetarian one but i added garlic chicken and it was phenomenal! Overall this place is solid. They have some unique items as well as classics. Get out and support this restaurant, they are worth your time! Thank all
